Hello Freedom Family! We know—it’s been a while. Life has a way of sweeping us off our feet, and in the whirlwind, we sometimes forget to keep up with everything… like the blog. 😅 But we’re back, and I (Stacey) promise to be much more consistent from now on. Spring is Here… a New Season for a New Blog
April 14, 2024 (Houston, Alaska) Well here we are… mid-April in Alaska. The sun is shining and it’s warm (yes mid-40’s is very warm for us) especially after such a cold and dark winter. We have almost 15 hours of daylight right now and each day we are gaining 6 more minutes of daylight. Today our sunrise was at 6:37am and sunset is at 9:22pm. It’s hard to believe that in less than 2 weeks our night sky will go away and we won’t see stars again until mid-August. Sigh…. I will miss the stars the most. But on the flip side the midnight sun gives us our amazing summers…
